Kentucky Critical Infrastructure August 2007 Solicitation

White Papers:
NIHS has designed a two tier process for its 2007 project solicitation cycle. Beginning September 10, 2007, NIHS accepted white paper summaries of proposals for new, community based critical infrastructure protection research projects. These white papers provided a summary and overview of each proposed project and were submitted by the deadline on September 14, 2007.

Full Proposals:
All qualifying white papers were forwarded to DHS for detailed review. DHS reviewed all white papers, selected and encouraged several offerors to submit full proposals. The deadline for submission of full proposals was February 15, 2008.

Project Selection:
It is anticipated that DHS will finish the August 2007 Solicitation cycle with award announcements in late April 2008. Contracting actions will immediately follow award announcements. Once contracts are signed, work can begin.
