Dr. Robl demonstrates ultra fast-drying spray-on concrete

Dr. Thomas Robl with the University of Kentucky demonstrated his project, "Rapid Deployable System for the Structural Stabilization of Shock Damaged Structures," on June 12, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Enregy Research. Dr. Robl developed this in partners with Minova North America, a company headquartered in Georgetown that supplies products to the mining and construction industries.

In the photo below, John Wiseman, with the Center for Applied Energy Research at the University of Kentucky, sprayed an sprayed a very quick-drying concrete during a demonstration on 6/12/2012. The product developed by researchers at UK can be sued to stabilize buildings damaged in terrorist attacks or natural disasters, but will initially be used in the mining industry. Photo by Bill Estep
