Website Launch

The National Institute For Hometown Security (NIHS) has launched its web page, adding a dimension to the organization’s communication, outreach and administrative functions. The page, accessible at www.thenihs.org, is designed to provide information about NIHS and its programs to the public and to give its affiliated research community an electronic platform for many administrative requirements. NIHS plans to develop the website as a source of information for the public for matters related to critical infrastructure protection and other program areas which NIHS may engage in the future. Additionally, the website will be a source of information about NIHS, its personnel and the organization’s activities. The website is also designed with interactive features for research community members who undertake research projects in cooperation with NIHS. These features are designed to reduce paperwork, improve reporting capabilities and expand communication opportunities among researchers. NIHS is the administrator for the Kentucky Critical Infrastructure Protection Institute. The website will be an integral resource in promoting, operating and advancing this program.
